Pilates classes focus on increasing strength and flexibility, particularly of the abdomen and back muscles, as well as developing both muscular and mental coordination along with breath. The approach I use ensures a head to toe full body workout each and every session. Building a foundation of core strength and stability allows you to work all body parts safely and as they are meant to. In addition to core strengthening, better posture and balance are developed.
One on one session usually performed on pilates machines such as the Cadillac, Reformer, and Wunda Chair.
Duets are the same as a private only performed side by side with a friend or significant other. These sessions allow for individualized attention with an economical approach. If you are interested in a duet but are without a partner I can possibly match you with someone of your level and similar schedule.
Small group classes are usually done on the reformer and wunda chairs along with some mat work. They are usually limited to a 4 participant maximum.
Mat classes are done on the floor on pilates or thicker yoga mats. The routines take a comprehensive approach to the body and will sometimes incorporate auxiliary equipment such as magic circles, rollers, and straps. These classes range in size and typically max out at around 20 people.
